Born in Canterbury, England, Philip has travelled the globe in search of his subjects, finding them everywhere from the dark drama of a Haitian voodoo ceremony to the stark brightness of Bolivian salt flats.

Philip is a people person and his infectious personality helps him focus on the character of people and places which are acclaimed for their cinematic quality, use of light and graphic compositions. His versatility has found him shooting charity projects in Africa  as well as making films for luxury resorts. For Philip, his photography acts as a physical and emotional adventure. His work is always a journey and an exploration of the perfect frame.

He combines a painterly aesthetic, centred on dramatic manipulations of light and dark, with a powerful yet minimal colour palette.
